Stone River Excavation has been doing earthwork in Texas since 2015. Commercial pads, road and infrastructure, subdivision grading, industrial sites across Houston, DFW and South Texas. In that time the technical requirements on every project changed. GCs started asking for machine control files, BIM submissions and documented as-built records that earthwork contractors had never had to produce before.
Stone River built the internal capability to meet those requirements because the work demanded it. GPS grade control, 3D modeling, site staking with rover-based layout, as-built surveys produced in 48 hours. The team, the workflow and the technical environment were already in place.
Lone Star Layouts was the decision to make that capability available to every Texas earthwork contractor facing the same requirements, not just Stone River.
