The problem

Your GC Requires a Machine Control File and Your Current Vendor Cannot Meet the Deadline

GPS-capable earthmoving equipment is on job sites across the country. But the gap between owning GPS equipment and having a machine control-ready file loaded and running on the day you mobilize is still a real problem for a lot of contractors.

Local civil tech vendors in smaller markets are scarce. National survey firms are slow and expensive for a single-project deliverable. In-house BIM staff is a fixed cost most contractors cannot justify before the pipeline proves itself.

Lone Star Layouts exists to close that gap from anywhere in the country, on a timeline that works for a real project schedule.

Our solution

Send Your Files Tonight. Have Your Deliverable Tomorrow.

Remote delivery means geography is not a constraint. A contractor in Montana, Ohio or South Carolina gets the same one to two business day turnaround as a Houston project. The same Civil 3D environment, the same platform-specific file formatting, the same revision support.

We accept your design files by email, Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer. We review them, quote the project within one business day and build the deliverable once you approve. If we spot a design issue before we build, we flag it. You do not find out after the file is already loaded.

How it works

How Nationwide Remote Delivery Works

Step 1

Send Your Files

Share your design files by email, Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer. We accept CAD, PDF, LandXML and most standard civil design formats. If you are not sure what you have, send it and we'll sort it out.

Step 2

We Review and Quote

We review your files, flag any gaps or design conflicts and send a quote within one business day. If we spot an issue that would affect the deliverable, you hear about it before we build, not after.

Step 3

We Build and Deliver

Once you approve the quote, we build the deliverable and send it by email or shared drive link. Labeled, organized and ready to load. If your operator runs into anything on first use, call us.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Remote Delivery

Have more questions? Call now
Do you deliver to contractors outside Texas?

Yes. Remote services are available to contractors in all 50 states. Your location does not affect the turnaround time, the deliverable format or the pricing model.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept AutoCAD (.dwg), PDF plan sheets, LandXML (.xml), survey point files (.csv/.txt) and most standard civil design formats. If you are not sure what you have, send it and we'll sort out what's usable before we quote.

How do I send you my design files?

Send them by email, Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer, whichever is easiest for you. We review what you send, flag any gaps or conflicts and quote the project within one business day.

Can you handle a rush deadline?

Most remote deliverables run one to two business days from receipt of complete files, and rush, same-day and next-day options are available on most projects. Tell us your deadline first and we'll confirm whether we can hit it before you commit.

What happens if the design changes after I receive the deliverable?

Revision support is included on all delivered models. Send us the updated design or the change and we'll revise the deliverable and get it back to you. Turnaround on a revision depends on the scope of the change, so let us know your deadline.

Do you work with contractors who have never used GPS machine control before?

Yes. The deliverable arrives labeled, organized and formatted for your Trimble, Topcon or Leica platform, ready to load. If your operator runs into anything on first use, call us. The team behind your file has hands-on GPS machine-control experience on real earthwork sites, so you are not troubleshooting it alone.
